Two dimensional random structures for solar energy

Duration of the contract: 9 months (from November 2011 to July 2012)

Competition for a scholarship of nine months and 9,000 euros based on qualifications in the European project Nanophotonics for Energy efficiency.

It is a competition based on qualifications for the award of a scholarship funded by LENS, within the European project "Nanophotonics for Energy efficiency" N. 248855, for the realization of the program entitled "Two dimensional random structures for solar energy" for a period of 9 months and a gross amount of 9,000.00 euros, to be performed at LENS, Via Nello Carrara 1, Sesto Fiorentino (Florence).

Only students in Master's Degree courses (corsi di laurea magistrale in Italian) in possession of Bachelor's Degree (laurea triennale in Italian) in Physics and who wish to carry out specific training activities mentioned above may be admitted.

In the application the candidate must declare, under his own responsibility, who he is, the date and place of birth, social security number, residence and domicile of choice for purposes of the competition, his telephone number and the qualification obtained, the date, the seat of achievement and the grade in the final exam. The competitor must also attach to the application a copy of the thesis, a curriculum Vitae et Studiorum and any other certificate deemed useful.

The winner will be notified by e-mail. The owner of the scholarship will begin the studies and researches on November 1st, 2011 and continue regularly and without interruption until July 31th, 2012. The scholarship, amounting to 9,000.00 euros gross, will be provided with a monthly payment, after the presentation of documents and verification of requirements. At the end of the period of the scholarship, the scholar shall submit an activity report on the results obtained to the Director of Research. The scholarship may be renewed by decree of the Director for only two consecutive times, until the maximum duration of three years, in presence of available funding.
