International Meeting and Summer School on "Cavity Enhanced Spectroscopy" (CES 2013)

International Meeting and Summer School organized by the INO-CNR at the Congress Centre of University Federico II, Naples, Italy.

The 2013 International Meeting and Summer School on Cavity Enhanced Spectroscopy will be organized by the National Institute of Optics (INO) of CNR at the Congress Centre of University Federico II, Naples, Italy. Since 2000, this single-session conference has been held every 2 years, the last one being successfully hosted by Queen's University, Kingston, Canada in 2011.

CES2013 is directed to universities, public research institutions and companies whose researchers are interested in deepening his/her knowledge on cavity enhancement methods for spectroscopy and sensing. Also, we aim at expanding the topics beyond cavity ring-down spectroscopy techniques toward novel optical resonator-based systems for sensing and metrology. The summer school precedes the meeting and takes place in the same location on Monday, June 10th, 2013.

Topics of the meeting include but are not limited to: cavity ring-down spectroscopy and applications, optical frequency combs in cavity enhanced spectroscopy (CES), NICE-OHMS and related techniques, incoherent broadband CES, cavities for metrology, cavity-based methods for chemical, mechanical and inertial sensing, unusual cavities (prisms, fibers, monolithic resonators etc.), whispering gallery mode resonators.
