The PhD program is designed for graduates in Science, Technology and Life-Sciences interested in developing original research in their fields by applying a variety of laser technologies. LENS offers to PhD students a stimulating research environment within its four major research areas: atomic physics, photonics, biophysics and physics of structure, dynamics and reactivity. Common programs with other prestigious International Universities and periods of work abroad are also possible and our best PhD graduates have had the opportunity to further their work in prestigious universities and research centres all over the world.
Selection of all candidates will be through an evaluation of the curriculum and a personal interview focused on scientific knowledge and background, personal and scientific skills, approach to multidisciplinary research, team work attitude and English language. The first accepted positions will be covered by LENS and the University of Florence funding. The remaining positions will require external funding.

- translation and legalization of the last university degree/diploma document obtained, and its declaration of value issued by the Italian Embassy of your country;
