Workshop: Advances in Photonics and Applications
We are pleased to announce
Advances in Photonics and Applications
workshop which will be held in Florence (Via del proconsolo 12) on 9-10 June 2016.
The workshop is sponsored by the PRCI Project ULYSSES in synergy with the FET-OPEN CARTOON and the COST-ACTION NQO. It will address several topics in the field of photonics and its applications, including complex defects in semiconductors, spintronics with NV-centers in diamonds, carbon nanotubes, silicon photonics, near field imaging and quantum dots. The workshop aims at bringing together leading scientists to discuss their recent achievements and to encourage the interaction of the participants at all levels towards the establishment of future collaborations and networks. Furthermore, the meeting will allow master and PhD students to directly interact with leading and experienced researchers in Europe.

Workshop: Progress in photonics
We are pleased to announce
Progress in photonics
workshop which will be held in Florence (Via Giorgio La Pira 4) on 15-16 October 2015.
Celebrating the International Year of Light and sponsored by the
FET-OPEN CARTOON in synergy with the COST-ACTION NQO, the workshop will
cover a wide range of topics in the emerging field of photonics,
including Si and organic photonics, plasmonic, THz technologies, near
field imaging, quantum dots and carbon nanotubes integration on Si, etc.
Progress in photonics aims to bring together scientists working across
the world to establish recent achievements and open challenges in the
field. It will be organized to encourage the interaction of the
participants at all levels and to establish future synergies and
collaborations. It will provide a unique opportunity to advance
knowledge and understanding in the field of interaction of light with
sub-wavelength size objects, nanoemitters and non-linear devices.

NOTE: scadenza 1 novembre 2014
